Beachy waves are my summer go-to hair style. It’s so easy and will last for several days and the messier they look the better. Which is my preferred style.
To get this look, I use a few different products that I purchased at Target. It starts in the shower I have been using this shampoo and conditioner from John Frieda® Beach Blonde™ Collection. This stuff smells absolutely AMAZING. I love the cooling mint sensation. I know this says for “Beach Blonde” and I don’t have beach blonde hair, but it works for blondes and brunettes just the same. The shampoo and conditioner nourishes and adds texture. Have you heard of a shampoo and conditioner that adds texture? I hadn’t, but it really does. I need all the texture help I can get. My hair is super flat and straight. Also great for heat-damaged hair.
After I get out of the shower I towel dry my hair and spray the John Frieda® Beach Blonde™ Sea Waves™ Sea Salt Spray all over and then comb it out then while I am blow drying my hair I use a diffuser and scrunch my hair has I dry it. This to smells amazing, but what I love most about it is that it gives my hair a care free tousled look. I use this on second and third-day hair to just had more texture. Just a little tip… A little goes a LONG way.
I use my 35mm curling wand to make some big loose waves in my hair because scrunching my hair while I blow dry it only gives my hair a little bit of a wave look. I need the extra help from a curling iron. I take a big section of hair and wrap it around the wand and hold it there for a few seconds. I don’t want tight curls. I just want a bend in my stick straight hair. After I have curled all my hair I run my fingers through it making those curls more loose and beachy looking.
My favorite thing about this style is the messier it looks the better it looks in my opinion. I love big messy hair.
