I wasn’t sure what my focus would be this year. I had thought about it, but nothing was really standing out to me. I was chatting with my friend about my goals for 2016, and in that conversation, she shared with me some advice that one of her friends had shared with her, which was DO LESS BETTER. It instantly resonated with me and the whole next day I couldn’t stop thinking about how I could apply to every aspect of my life. To me, it meant to simplify and do those things that matter the very most, and to focus on doing those things BETTER.
I often feel like my plate is so full that I just can’t do everything the way I would want. This year I am going to take on fewer projects and fewer commitments and do those better and to the best of my ability. It will take away a lot of guilt and pressure and I will be able to sleep better at night. As the saying goes You can do anything, but not everything. Make what you DO the very best you can. Be ok with not doing everything. There are a time and a season for everything, and if this isn’t your season to cook glamorous meals for you family. THATS OK. One day that time will come. If that’s what your heart desires. I will be doing another blog post about my goals more in depth, but for now, I just wanted to leave you with a little inspiration and maybe you could use it this year too.
